Murta
The species of this coffee is Coffea myrtifolia originated in Reunion Island (formerly known as Bourbon Island) in the southwest Indian Ocean. It’s a short tree, abundance of thin and very small leaves, short branches, this gives the plant a small but solid appearance. Medium sized beans and reduced amount of caffeine, it has between 30-40% less caffeine than common Arabica coffees. Its carbohydrates content is almost three times higher than that of common Arabica varities. Yield is extremely low.
