Purpurascens it is a natural genetic variation of Bourbon. Resistant to drought because of its strong root system. It is characterized by the purple/deep red colour of its foliage. Plant of mid stature, the branch points on the main stem are medium spaced. Produces small, compact beans. The yield is poor.
